Reid practices in the areas of estate planning and probate administration, probate and estate litigation, business succession planning, asset protection, real estate transactions, commercial litigation, and other business law matters.  She is a member of Wealth Counsel Trust an Estate Practice.  In her practice, Reid represents individuals, families and corporate clients on estate planning matters in the formulation and implementation of strategies to reduce taxation, protect and preserve assets, and facilitate the transfer of assets among family members and other charities.

Reid advises clients in connection with the establishment of both simple and highly customized estate plans, which the latter may incorporate the use of revocable trusts, irrevocable trusts, charitable trusts, insurance trusts, special needs trusts, and various business entities. She works with families, closely-held businesses and other related professionals to ensure that the estate plan established by her clients during lifetime are respected into the future.

Reid's works out of our Charleston office. Reid's mission as a real estate and estate planning attorney is to provide affordable, accessible, and personalized legal counsel to all of her clients. Reid advises her clients on a variety of real estate transactions and trust and estate planning transactions including establishing Will based and Trust based estate plans for individuals and families, business succession planning, probate, will contests, estate litigation. Reid also provides counsel on commercial litigation and other business law matters.

My History

Reid also regularly works with our law firm’s corporate clients on such diverse matters as commercial litigation, real estate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, business organizations and reorganizations, intellectual property, employment, and business succession planning.  Reid also advises personal representatives, trustees, beneficiaries and creditors on all phases of the estate probate and trust administration process.

Reid is our law firm primary real estate attorney, although she regularly provides counsel on a range of estate planning matters.   Reid understands that client communication is critical and as such provides responsive, personalized counsel to all of her estate planning clients.  Like our other attorneys, Reid firmly believes in developing lasting, successful client relationships with all of the firm’s real estate, estate planning, business and entrepreneurial clients.
